How to become an associate
About the 2008 Associates Membership Campaign
Southern Oregon Humane Society Mission
The Southern Oregon Humane Society is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the humane treatment of dogs and cats in Southern Oregon and beyond. We serve the community by providing shelter and adoption services for displaced pets, by reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, by providing humane education and by our commitment to a “full adoption” policy for our shelter.
What Is the Purpose Of The Associates Membership Campaign?
The Southern Oregon Humane Society Associates is a group of distinguished individuals, organizations, businesses and civic leaders who wish to enhance the humane treatment of cats and dogs by advancing the essential programs and services of SOHS. The ASSOCIATES CAMPAIGN provides a structured opportunity to solicit major gift funds during the first third of the fiscal year when income is historically low. It also makes the organization aware of pledged income that can be expected and planned on during the year.
Qualification for Membership
Any individual, business, foundation or organization making an annual contribution of $1000 or more during the ASSOCIATES MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN, in support of the Southern Oregon Humane Society’s general operations, programs and services automatically qualifies for membership as an ASSOCIATE. The 2008 Campaign Kicks off in February and concludes at the end of March. Memberships are renewable annually. Members may be new donors or current contributors who renew or upgrade.
How Gifts May Be Made
Gifts may be made through an outright contribution of $1,000 or more, or a signed pledge to make a contribution of $1000 or more in cash, securities, real or personal property, or in-kind services/materials which would routinely be an expense item in the budget of the Southern Oregon Humane Society. Pledges may be paid any time during 2008.
Additionally…
A contributor and spouse/domestic partner whose combined annual support falls within the qualifying range will jointly be eligible for membership as an Associate. An individual may be recognized as an Associate through a qualifying gift made in his or her honor by another.
